Joker Poker

The Joker Poker was originally a late night TV poker program on Network Ten in Australia that aired first in 2005. The first series was hosted by Adam Spencer and the second series by Mike Goldman. Both these series were co-hosted by the New Zealand poker professional Lee Nelson. This popular show for TV was produced by the Australian production company called Freehand Group.

The Joker Poker show itself featured some of Australia’s comedians shown as playing the no limit Texas hold'em poker. Four of the comedians competed in each episode representing their chosen charities.

The joker poker is similar to five card draw poker. The main objective of playing joker poker is to begin with 5 cards and keep on discarding the cards and replacing them with drawing others and in this fashion build a hand that has one of the many different winning combinations. The procedure is similar to that used in a conventional table game of five card draw poker.

Another version of Joker Poker that can be played online is the Double Joker Video Poker. This game is similar to straight five card poker including jokers added for the wild symbols. These jokers are quite useful in helping players add extra victories into the balance. The players are required to create the best possible five card hand. On the left of the screen we can see a list of payouts and also the hands which qualify during the double poker game.
Players can have as many as 2-4 hands at the same time. Limits on the wager are between $.25 to $5 per bet and up to five coins in each hand. The maximum wager you can expect is inbetween $2.5 to $100. So as can be seen there is something available for all players.

The online joker poker players will enjoy playing the game online. As a matter of fact any type of video poker can be enjoyed more playing online. And what better place to try it than here on this website!
